Passport to Paris Rules

The Passport to Paris ("Sweepstakes") starts at 12:01 am on Monday, February 1, 2010 and ends at 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 13, 2010 ("Sweepstakes Period"). This Sweepstakes shall be subject to these Official Rules, and by entering, all entrants agree to abide and be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges and Sponsors.

1) Eligibility: This Sweepstakes is open to legal U.K. residents who are 18 years and older as of the first day of the Sweepstakes Period. Employees (and their immediate household or family members) of Beach Radio and The Britten Centre and Tenants ("Sponsors") and their parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, prize providers, promotion and delivery contractors and/or public relations companies associated with this Sweepstakes, are not eligible to participate. A potential winner may be requested to provide proof that all eligibility requirements are met as well as proof of ownership of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry. Void where prohibited. This Sweepstakes shall be governed and enforced pursuant to England & Wales law, excluding choice of law provisions.

2) How to Enter: During the Sweepstakes Period, text BEACH and PARIS to 87474. All entrants must have a text messaging two-way capable handset and digital service in order to enter the Sweepstakes using the text messaging method. Entrants will be sent a text message to confirm entry into the Sweepstakes. By participating via text, entrants will be charged standard rates for text messages sent and received from their handset according to the terms and conditions in their wireless calling plans. Other carrier charges may apply; check with your carrier to determine other charges. Text STOP to quit. Text messaging and wireless service are not available in all areas; check with your carrier for availability. Incomplete entries will be disqualified, and Sponsors are not responsible for entries that are lost, late, deleted, garbled, corrupted, misdelivered, or misdirected as a result of technical, internet or other online difficulties or errors. In the event of a dispute as to who submitted an entry, it will be deemed submitted by the "Authorized Account Holder" at the time of registration. The Authorized Account Holder is the person assigned by a wireless calling/text message carrier service, an Internet access provider, online service provider, Internet service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning accounts and email addresses. Potential winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder. All entries must be received by the close of the Sweepstakes Period. The computer clock of Sponsors' webmaster is the official timekeeping device of the Sweepstakes. Limit ten entries per person or household per day; entries from the same person or household in excess of that limit will be disqualified.

3) Winner and Notification: Each weekday during the Sweepstakes period, Beach Radio will select potential winner in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Sponsors will make all final decisions in any and all issues related to this Sweepstakes, and their decisions shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsors will attempt to contact potential winner by phone. A winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected by random drawing from among all remaining entries if (1) a winner does not claim his or her prize by Saturday, February 13, 2010; (2) a winner does not fulfil the eligibility requirements; (3) a winner does not adhere to the Official Rules; and/or (4) if the prize notification is returned as undeliverable, refused, or declined.

4) Prize and Delivery: One Grand Prize: A trip Paris, France. Prize includes a 2-night stay at Le Meridien Montparnasse, 19 Rue Du Commandant-mouchotte, Paris, 75014, France, Standard Room for 2 people. Trip also includes roundtrip ticket from Eurostar for two from London St Pancras to Paris Nord as well as 2 Paris Metro Passes, Total approximate retail value ("ARV") £500. The actual value of the prize may vary depending on date and times of travel, train fare fluctuations and hotel charges at the time of travel. Therefore, the actual value of the prize awarded may be lower or higher at the time it is fulfilled. Any difference between actual value and stated ARV will not be awarded. Travel is subject to the restrictions and conditions set forth below. Any costs associated with prize receipt and/or use that are not expressly stated above are not included in the prize and are the responsibility solely of the prize winner and his/her travel companion. All prize-related travel arrangements will be administered by Sponsors' authorized designee. Prize winner and his or her travel companion will be required to travel on identical itineraries including the same departure date and return date. Prize winner and his or her travel companion will each be required to provide a valid passport or government issued identification at time of travel. If the prize winner elects to travel or partake in prize trip with no travel companion, no additional compensation will be awarded to the prize winner. Train transportation and hotel accommodations must be taken together and cannot be taken separately. No changes will be made to travel details once any element(s) of the travel arrangements have been booked, except at Sponsors' sole discretion. All train tickets issued in conjunction with prize are not eligible for upgrades, travellers’ miles or any other promotional benefit. Sponsors will not replace any lost or stolen tickets, travel vouchers or certificates or similar items once they are in the prize winner's possession, or in the possession of the prize winner's travel companion. Prize travel is subject to capacity controls, availability, blackout dates and certain other restrictions. Travel must be roundtrip. Sponsors will determine train and flight itinerary in their sole discretion. Any unclaimed and/or unused prize travel package or element thereof will be forfeited by prize winner and will remain the property of Sponsors. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any flight. Travel is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in these official rules and those set forth by Sponsors' prize supplier, as detailed in the passenger ticket contract issued by such supplier.

Guest of winner must be 18 years of age. Winner is solely responsible for any applicable taxes in connection with the prize. Prize substitution is not allowed, and prize is not transferable. Only Sponsors may elect, at their discretion, to substitute a prize of equal value due to lack of availability for any given reason. Prize is awarded "as is" with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsors. Properly claimed prize will be awarded, but in no event will Sponsors award more prizes than are provided for in these Official Rules.

Ten weekday prizes of a voucher/gift card valued at £25 to £50.  This voucher/gift card is redeemable against goods in participating Britten Centre stores as part or full payment.  NO CHANGE or CASH alternative will be offered, valid until Sunday, September 24, 2010.  Participating stores within the Britten Centre: QD Stores, WH Smiths, Thorntons, Holland and Barrett, Goldmark, Mothercare, Bhs, Superdrug, Coffeepot, Iceland, Yours, Poundland, Orange, Game, Cardfactory and the Market.

5) Other Conditions: Winner of the Grand prize will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release, and, if so, it must be returned to Sponsors within one week of winner's receipt of same. Failure to return such document will result in that winner being disqualified, and Sponsors may randomly draw another winner from among all remaining eligible entries. Winner's guest will also be required to sign and return release prior to accompanying winner on prize trip.

By entering this Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees to release, waive and hold harmless Sponsors and their affiliates, subsidiaries, parent corporations and advertising and promotional agencies, and all of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees and agents from any and all injuries, claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses of any kind (including without limitation attorney's fees) resulting from accessing the Sweepstakes website; submitting an entry or otherwise participating in any aspect of the Sweepstakes; the receipt, ownership or use of any prize awarded; preparing for, participating in or travelling to and/or from any prize-related activity, or; any printing, typographical or other error in these Official Rules or the announcement of offering of any prize.

By accepting the Prize, each Winner agrees, where legal, to allow Sponsors and their agents and licensees to use their names, voices, photographs, likenesses and any information provided on the entry form, in any medium of communication, including advertising, promotional or other purposes, without additional compensation.

All submitted entry information becomes the property of the Sponsors and Beach Radio. Each of these entities will use any entry information collected from the Sweepstakes in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

6) Internet/Fraud/Tampering: If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, or if this Sweepstakes or any website associated therewith (or any portion thereof) becomes corrupted or does not allow the proper playing of the Sweepstakes and processing of entries in accordance with these rules, or if infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, actions by entrants, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes, in the Sponsors' sole opinion, corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsors reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual implicated in such action and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Sweepstakes or any portion thereof. In the event this Sweepstakes is cancelled, the Sponsors will conduct a random drawing to award prize from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to the time of the action or event warranting such cancellation. If such cancellation, termination, modification, or suspension occurs, notification will be posted at the Sweepstakes website. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE (INCLUDING THE ENTRY SITE) OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION. Sponsors assume no liability for (a) any incorrect or inaccurate entry information, or for any faulty, failed, garbled or jumbled electronic data transmissions; (b) any unauthorized access to, or theft, destruction or alteration of entries at any point in the operation of this Sweepstakes; (c) any technical malfunction, failure, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, computers or providers utilized in any aspect of the operation of the Sweepstakes; or (d) inaccessibility or unavailability of the Internet or the Sweepstakes website or any combination thereof. 7)Winner List or Official Rules: For an Official Winner List (available after Saturday February 13, 2010), or a copy of these Official Rules, send a request and a self-addressed, stamped envelope to The Britten Centre, Management Office, 18 London Road North, Lowestoft, Suffolk, NR32 1LR.
