THE BRITTEN CENTRE
- The
Britten Shopping Centre was opened in November 1987, and named in
honour of
Lowestoft born Sir Benjamin Britten, the internationally famous
composer.
- The
Britten Shopping Centre comprises nineteen retailers, grouped under a
barrel-vaulted Victorian style roof, on an area long known to locals as
‘the
prairie’.
- A
330 space multi-storey car park, the town Library, the main Bus Station
are all
on our doorstep and all major amenities are nearby.
- We
have been serving the local community since 1987, and pride ourselves
on our
customer service team. Our aim is to provide you with a safe and
enjoyable
shopping experience in the heart of Lowestoft’s main shopping area.
- The
permanent covered market area at the rear of the Britten Shopping
Centre adds
another dimension to your shopping experience, with a range of stalls
offering
those unbeatable market deals.
- The
Britten Shopping Centre is open every day. We open at 8.30am
and close at
6.00pm Monday to Saturday, and from 10.00am to 4.00pm on Sundays. (Not
